Retro Holiday Party

I can't believe it's almost December!  We had our first snowfall last week, so now I'm thinking about the holidays.  Specifically, today I'm thinking about holiday parties... I won't be throwing one this year, but if I did, I'd want it to look something like this:

Dorothy Thorpe Style Lowball Glasses, Available from Pillowsophi on Etsy
Crochet Poinsettia by BobbiLewin on Etsy
Pair of Hans Wegner Danish Modern Chairs, Available from thecircamodern on Etsy
Luminarc Ruby Red Cavalier Glasses, Available from Pillowsophi on Etsy
Vintage Black Party Dress, Available from Conjurers on Etsy
Vintage Christmas Lights, Available from AloofNewWhimsy on Etsy
I'd love to hear about your plans for the holidays!  Will you be throwing or attending any parties?  Do you have a favourite party theme?

  1. Looks like a great party!! Nice collection here.

We always host a neighborhood open house instead of exchanging cards and goodies with the neighbors. Appetizers and desserts and lots of wine and cider!

  2. Thanks for posting my Silvestri Italian lights on your blog!!

  3. That looks like a fun party! Thank you for including my poinsettia here:)

  4. This is a great soiree collection. Especially love the poinsettia.

  5. Fabulous group! Love it!

  6. LOVE that dress, LOVE this Dorothy glasses, LOVE those Wegner chairs!!
    I WANT THEM!!!

  7. We're headed out of town mid-December, so I'll miss most of the good parties. I'm co-hosting a party with a friend next Tuesday though. I'll have my jewelry on display and for sale. We're doing an Indian theme and using rich red, green and turquoise fabrics. It should look exotic and ethnic and bohemian if we do it right!

  8. Thanks for all the great comments!

  9. LOVE those chairs!!!!!! :) Great finds:)

  10. Makes me want to throw a vintage party, I enjoyed your post! I'll be following you to see your other great ideas... http://vogelhausvintage.blogspot.com/
