Dybdahl Denmark Pottery - Dish and Bowl

I recently acquired two fabulous pieces of Dybdahl Danish pottery; I'm very happy to be able to share them with you in today's post!

Dybdahl began pottery production in 1952 in Allerod, Denmark; it was run by husband-and-wife team Palle Dybdahl (1918-2001) and Margrethe Dybdahl (1916-1999).  After Palle made the pieces, Margrethe (who studied at Rostrup-Boyesens Art School and the School of Design in the 30's) decorated them with - among other things - beautiful leaves, flowers, birds and insects.  The pottery also produced spectacular unglazed pots in the shape of various animals (including cats, birds and hedgehogs).

Dybdahl pieces are quite rare, so I'm extremely pleased to have acquired these two lovely items:

Piece #1: Dish/Tray with Leaf Decoration, approx. 6.5" x 5"
Available for purchase in my Etsy shop.
