Vintage Cottage, Part III: More Mid Century Modern Treasures!

And now, I present to you the third and final installment of the "Vintage Cottage" miniseries.  Without further ado, here are the featured items...

There are two of these fabulous mid century modern chairs at Grandma's cottage:

My Grandpa brought this (dusty - sorry!) wooden hippo back from one of his trips to South Africa (where he traveled when he worked for Inco, as they had mines there):

Next up, this retro set of aqua salt and pepper shakers:

  1. I absolutely LOVE the hippo! A family friend of mine went to South Africa as well and brought me back a little carved elephant. It is on my keys, I adore it.

  2. Me too! Your elephant sounds wonderful; I love that sort of thing. There's nothing like carved/polished wood, eh? I gave my boyfriend a fabulous glossy wood treasure box (the kind where you have to know how to take it apart to find the key) I brought back from Morocco... every once in a while I wish I'd kept it for myself! ;)
