These Boots Were Made For Rockin' (Alternate Title: Marie is a Dork)

Last Friday I was at my favourite Goodwill looking for half price day bargains when I saw these CRAZY COWBOY BOOTS.  At first I passed them by, thinking there was no way I'd be able to get them on my giant (women's size 10.5-11) feet.  Besides, I'm a vegetarian and I haven't worn leather in years.  But then I looked back at them and realized they actually looked relatively large, and I thought, "Well, vintage leather doesn't require (further) animal suffering and is eco-friendly...".  So I went back.  Turns out they were a men's 8, and they fit (albeit rather snugly)!  Without hesitating, I snatched those puppies up and bought 'em (for a whole $8.99, since - much to my disappointment - they were excluded from the sale).

The thing is, these boots are so darn AWESOME that I can't even tell if they're nice or not; I'm blinded by their awesomeness.  For all I know, they're absolutely hideous.

(I'm also not sure if I'll be able to get used to the idea of wearing cow skin on my feet, but that's an issue for another time.)

So, dear readers, my questions for you are:

1.  Do you like these boots?  Please vote in the poll, and feel free to elaborate in a comment!

2.  If you don't think the boots should never be worn, what do you think they should be worn with?

Awesome details:
Check out the gorgeous metalwork:
And the (very worn) bottom of one boot, so you can see the logo:

Love 'em? Hate 'em? I'd love to hear your opinion! Please be honest... I won't be offended. After all, I didn't make them (and I'm still undecided, myself).

What do you think of my Sandiego cowboy boots?

Or, more realistically, they are so much WOW all on their own just pair them with something really simple like a solid-colour dress? Dress and cowboy boots, you'll be like one of the girls from The Good Lovelies!!

  6. They're enormously wonderful! If I were young and hip, I'd wear them with a white cotton skirt, about knee length:)

I wore them to a play last night, with a black dress and a light grey sweater... I was quite pleased.
